In collaboration with Bill Stoppard and ProSkaters Place, Adapt proudly introduces the Signature Series Bill Stoppard GTB 2022 model!

In 2021, Bill stepped up the game with receiving his first GTB Signature skate from Adapt to fit his Assault skating style. Bill has worked on his own style and personal vision within skating for years now. From skating every inch of Toronto, to creating his own division within skating under the name Assault. For 2022, we decided to keep this positive momentum going forward and support Bill Stoppard with a fully updated Signature model from Adapt. The GTB V2 edition. Fully Assault ready and packed with the latest tech from Adapt.

Inspired by the Adapt Superleggera, the 2022 GTB model has gotten several updates:

  • The GTB now comes with a replaceable heel/ankle liner piece. The liner piece ensures a better fit for the ankle, prevents pressure points from the cuff area and can be replaced when worn down, expanding the lifetime of the skates even further!
  • The liner piece can also be removed before heatmolding the shell, to prevent foam compression when pushing out pressure points.
  • The tongue has been redesigned with a pressure-dividing patch to prevent lacebite.

The GTB now comes with an included (removable) 45 degrees powerstrap for increased heel lock. Especially for skaters with flat feet or a low arch the powerstrap can improve the fit significantly.

Showcasing our new logo in a eye catching way, the GTB comes with an embroidered orange Adapt logo on the tongue and an orange embroidered GTB logo on the back of the skate.

Other features:

The GTB is made with our trusty nubuck 1.3mm leather. The supple but strong nubuck forms to your feet straight out of the box and will only fit better over time. The new lining system is made out of airmesh lining for comfort and an overall great fit. The nubuck, airmesh lining and waxed laces work together greatly to get your skates fitting like a glove. The new included removable 45 degrees powerstrap can take the fit of your GTB to the next level.

The included 3d SLS boltprotector is mounted on the topstrap bolts to prevent the bolts and strap from getting damaged when falling over. The boot comes standard with a nubuck boltprotector.

The GTB shell is a Hyperskate diolene shell, finished with extra layers of black twill 3k carbon for improved responsiveness and a dark look. Like all Hyperskate models, the GTB features the Quattromount. The Quattromount is the most versatile mount in the industry as it fits both 165mm and 195mm frames as well as the Symetrics Quattro frames. The mount also provides an extremely low centre of gravity, with the wheels as close to your feet as possible.

The GTB model comes with our Symetrics Combo ‘Stay Low’ frames. This frame allows you to switch between a 4x84mm setup and a 3x100mm setup. Please note only 16 bearings are coming with 2 wheels sets (8 spaces and 8 axles)

The Symetrics Combo ‘Stay Low’ frame is CNC cut out of 7075 billet aluminium and features a perfectly centered mount to create the ultimate feeling of control. The completely intact frame walls makes the frame strong and feel solid when skating.

The Hyperskate GTB is completed with the Symetrics Superfast wheels and the new Symetrics 7-ball ABEC9 bearings.

Adapt Sizing Chart

Make sure you order the right size!
Adapt skates fit like a tailored shoe. While in most skates people need to take one size bigger than they wear in shoes, in Adapt you will need your actual shoe size. Of course, measuring your feet can be really difficult, so if you really are in doubt, feel free to contact us about this. If you have measured your feet and are unsure of the results you’ve got, please contact us as well. Overall you can take one size smaller in Adapts compared to other skates. If you have already downsized by toe-cutting your skate or using a thinner liner in it, you will not be able to go down one size.

Measure your feet as showed here.

  1. Dave Nelson (verified owner)

These skate are absolutely amazing. My foot measures 275mm and length in the measurements chart for a Size 42 is listed as 276mm, and they fit exactly right. After 2 rounds of heat molding and 3 hours of skating, I can’t imagine a better fitting pair of skates. Note that it only include 16 bearings and 8 spacers, so with you want both the 84mm and 100mm wheels to be ready to go you will need 12 more bearings and 6 more spacers.
