Straight up worth it!
I got these obviously as a protective measure, and I actually fell the first time I went out skating after getting them. I fell right onto my wrists but I didn’t feel a thing! The strong, durable leather outside was scratched up from my fall, but it was better than breaking my wrist! There is a metal bar on the interior which restricts wrist movement completely, but that’s the point! They’re a little pricey, but a trip to the emergency room is going to cost you a lot more!
They are pretty comfy, just make sure you get the right size. Otherwise the straps will be too small and too tight. Don’t wear them for an extended amount of time either, they will start to become a little irritating.
I definitely recommend these to anyone who is beginning or skates aggressively.

Outstanding!
After my first time wearing them I have found they are strong and comfortable. The fact they look great doesn’t hurt either. I blade with my two dogs so being pulled off balance is always a worry. Now I have a bit of wrist insurance. Thanks a lot! These are worth every cent.

I actually gave these a two-star review when I first tried them, as they do run a size small and they do get pretty warm in hot weather, but yesterday I asked PSP to delete the first review after a month of skating these almost every day, because . . .
. . . I have come to find these amazing in use:
* insanely comfortable fit that dials in exactly, every time.
* super-secure feeling while wearing them.
* indestructible metal inserts; you can slam on these things at terminal velocity, and you’re not breaking a wrist.
* look and feel high-end.
